Team to participate in Standard Chartered Run

Summertown's Green Committee, Eco Leaders 2020, are leading an initiative to get staff fit and motivated to a healthier lifestyle as we start the new year 2012.
A total of 50 people including staff members and their families will be taking part in this year's Standard Chartered 10k or 3km fun run, in association with the Dubai Standard Chartered Marathon taking place on 27th January. The races will start and finish in the Downtown Burj Khalifa area.
Summertown Interiors General Manager, Jimmy Lynch, is pleased at the response the initiative has received. "It's great to see everyone encouraging each other, regardless of ability, to take part. We have participants as young as 5 years old taking part so it really is for everyone. We're also offering training sessions for those who want to push themselves for the 10km. A brilliant effort by so many of the team - we're looking forward to a great day out".
Summertown will also be matching the entry fees for each team member and their families who participate and donating the money to a local charity - Mawaheb from the Beautiful People - an art studio based in Dubai for young people with special needs.
