Summertown sponsor Gulf for Good Ethiopian Trek
Gulf for Good, a Dubai based charity established in 2001 that has now raised more than 5 Million Dirhams for children’s causes, will be undertaking their next expedition in Ethiopia in March 2011.
Summertown are proud to support their latest challenge, which is to raise a total of AED 450,000 for the Raey Child and Family Development Association in Adis Adaba - an organisation dedicated to providing education, health and nutrition for children who have been orphaned by Aids. The trek challenge is to cover 120 km in 6 days in the Simien mountains to an altitude of 4,620m with 25 other like minded souls – all volunteers of the Gulf for Good charity.
Elaine Kelly of Microsoft will be taking part in the challenge. “This will be my 8th experience in raising money for fantastic causes for the Gulf for Good charity. Our group has been training hard for the trip and we are ready to face this new challenge. Fund raising efforts such as these can only be made possible with the help of our sponsors, so we thank each and every one for their support.”
Summertown will be following the progress of the trek – for updates please visit our latest news section. If you would like to learn more about Gulf for Good, please go to
