Project Overview
Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Centre
ADSIC is the government entity whose key objective is to establish a modern, efficient and citizen-centric e-Government platform providing a world class IT based information service. Their achievement has been recognized with two prestigious WSA Arab e-Content Awards (sponsored by the UN).
ADSIC’s requirement was to create a working arena out of an empty shell of an entire floor, where staff can work and clients can meet for exchanging information in a professional environment in accordance with the highest possible international standards. On this basis Summertown’s design philosophy was to maximize the utilization of glass partitions allowing light to flow naturally, encouraging employee well being and motivation whilst complementing the building design. Summertown’s talented JOINERY Company created unique high quality furniture adding depth to the feel of the area. This was incorporated with the latest trends by using state of the art products creating modern luxury, reflecting the environment at hand.
Although an open plan was required, Summertown had to work within certain constraints creating the following focus areas: cubicles for exchanging private information, open plan work stations for support staff, meeting rooms for VIPs and Corporations, a screening area for visuals (TV) and a staff break out area.
In this project the greatest challenge was to achieve a high tech office environment with state of the art office furniture solutions to handle the entire cable management system efficiently. Summertown’s years of experience with high calibre organisations came to the forefront as well as our renowned great attention to detail, enabling us to achieve the perfect solution.
