Parsons Brinckerhoff serves clients in all facets of infrastructure projects as well as the overall communities in which they live and work, shaping some of the worlds largest and most important public works projects. In Dubai, Parsons Brinckerhoff is providing project management services for the development of infrastructure and transit works for the Palm Jumeirah.
When Parsons Brinckerhoff needed to double their office space in a short period of time, they were looking for a professional and quality oriented company and thus spoke to Summertown Interiors (ISO9001). The initial brief involved requirements for a complete turnkey interior solution, dividing a 6000 sq ft office space into an enclosed corporate section and open area for project management and admin personnel. The office design was to be the first office to be designed with Parsons Brinckerhoff’s new corporate branding and would be a reference for all new office fit-outs and renovations worldwide. During the project, Parsons Brinckerhoff signed a number of large contracts and needed to expand rapidly. On securing the remaining half of the floor, Parsons Brinckerhoff asked Summertown to adapt the concept of the ongoing project and continue the theme throughout the whole floor. The result is an office which looks as though it was designed for the whole floor and was never in fact 2 phases.
The competencies of Summertown Interiors, backed up by their ISO 9000-2000 quality management system and their experience as a turnkey office interior solutions provider has ensured the first contract with PB.
Summertown have been awarded further work with Parsons Brinckerhoff as the company is growing rapidly. Further furniture has been supplied and conversion of the document control office to an IT office is underway. An order has also been placed for the new corporate Reception Counter for Parsons Brinckerhoff’s new office in Muscat, Oman.
