High-end quality standards met for leading global financial services provider
Standard and Poor’s are valued by investors and financial decision makers alike, and highly regarded for its analytical independence and market expertise. Its history is seeped in tradition having been established for over 150 years, and its new premises in Dubai needed to reflect its high end corporate brand image.
Summertown ultimately delivered a design and build project that met very specific requirements incorporating high-tech sound proof offices for client confidentiality, whilst reflecting the traditional company values. To optimize on space, a stand-up ‘Bloomberg’ area was created allowing connectivity to International market information displaying live movement of currencies and stocks on suspended screens - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A ‘hot desking’ area was also included offering research facilities, encouraging employee interaction and promoting knowledge sharing. A ten-seater fully equipped conference room, and lounge style meeting room offers additional quiet areas.The office dynamics provided a challenge to the Summertown designers, as there were several circular columns located throughout the space that created ‘dead space’ areas.
Summertown were able to offer a creative solution, incorporating these as pillars for custom made cabinetry, offering increased storage facilities for the client.The end result delivered a high quality office interior, with mahogany veneer custom made furniture, sound proof partitioning, and high quality fixtures and fittings that meet the high expectations of Standard and Poor’s client base.
