Account Manager, Sales
Samer was born in Iraq, and spent his youth growing up in Holland. In 2008 Samer completed a BBA university program in Eindhoven in International Business and Management Studies. His early career began during university, where he worked for Royal KPN, Holland’s leading telecommunications provider as an advisor, after which he joined independent Dutch bank ABN Amro NV as a consultant. For his thesis, Samer was sent to Dubai for a 6 month project to study the UAE market in detail as one of the Middle East’s fastest growing markets in the marine industry. His combined Arabic and European background was a huge advantage and enabled him to fit right in with the local culture.
After graduation, Samer came back to Dubai and worked with a local organization on a business expansion project, where he project managed their office expansion. In this role Samer enjoyed the creativity and diversity that the role encompassed and from therein decided to focus his career path in the interiors field whereby he could employ his commercial skills in an industry that he truly enjoys. Samer joined Summertown in May 2010 as Account Manager Sales and has spent 2 years working in the UAE market in the interior turnkey industry.
In his spare time Samer plays football and other team sports, taking advantage of Dubai’s many beaches and sporting facilities. However Samer’s biggest passion is flying and he is currently undertaking lessons to obtain his pilots license.
