Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation

The Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation (SHF) who’s mission is “to invest in the future of the United Arab Emirates by investing in its people” develops and supports strategic initiatives in the areas of Art, Culture and Heritage; Early Childhood Development; and Health. Established in 2010, the SHF is the family foundation of Her Highness Sheikha Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan.

Summertown Interiors undertook the full interior fit-out of SHF’s new 700sqm office located on the ground and mezzanine level of the Al Mamoura Building in Abu Dhabi.

Designed by Bluehaus Group, the space spans two levels and brings together a library, reception, meeting rooms, and collaboration areas under a modern industrial design aesthetic.

The standout feature is the biophilic wall installation, which brings natural texture and calm into the working environment. The artwork throughout was curated by SHF, giving the interior a sense of identity that genuinely reflects the people behind it. The result is a workspace that is as purposeful as the organisation it serves.
