Some milestones deserve a pause, and this is one of them. Summertown Interiors has once again been named in the Design Middle East Fit-Out Powerlist, the annual list that recognises the region’s leading fit-out firms. This marks our fourth year of recognition, and this time it lands in the August 2026 edition of the magazine, where our General Manager, Nicola Trivett, is featured at number nine. Four years of steady recognition is not luck. It reflects the passion of our people, the trust of our clients and partners, and our ongoing commitment to sustainable workplaces across the UAE.
The Fit-Out Powerlist, published by Design Middle East, shines a light on the firms and leaders shaping interiors across the Middle East. Companies earn their place through the quality of their projects, the strength of their teams, and the mark they leave on the wider industry. It is an informed view of who is genuinely pushing the sector forward.
That framing matters to us. We have never treated awards as the goal. We focus on doing the work well, and the recognition tends to follow. Seeing Summertown on the Fit-Out Powerlist again, year after year, tells us the approach is working.
Nearly three decades of sustainable fit-out
Summertown Interiors has been shaping workspaces in the UAE since 1997. Across nearly three decades, we have grown into one of the country’s most established sustainable fit-out specialists. We were the first fit-out contractor in the UAE to occupy LEED Gold-certified interiors, and we have delivered more than thirty LEED-certified projects since.
As a design and build contractor with in-house teams, we carry a project from first concept through to final handover. Our work spans commercial offices, healthcare, education, and hospitality, with clients that range from Fortune 500 companies to government authorities. You can browse a selection of these projects on our portfolio page, or read more about our approach to sustainable interior fit-out. The thread running through all of it is consistent: High-performance interiors that are better for the people who use them and lighter on the planet.
Why this year feels different
Every edition of the Fit-Out Powerlist captures a fast-moving industry at a single moment in time. The 2026 edition, released on 8 August 2026, arrives when UAE businesses are asking more of their workplaces than ever. They want spaces that support wellbeing, meet rising sustainability expectations, and still make commercial sense.
Nicola made a similar point in her feature. In her view, the fit-out industry will only reach its full potential as it keeps evolving with changing market demands, new technology, and higher sustainability expectations. The future, she believes, belongs to businesses that combine creativity, efficiency, and responsibility to deliver spaces that inspire and endure. That thinking has guided our work for years, and it continues to shape what we build next through our JOURNEY2030 sustainability strategy.
Thank you to our people and partners
Recognition like this is never down to one person. It belongs to the designers, project managers, and site teams who deliver under real pressure, and to the clients and partners who trust us with their spaces. To every one of them: Thank you.
Here is to raising the standard, year after year. If you are planning a sustainable workplace and want a partner with a proven record, we would love to talk it through with you. Contact our team!
