Five years in, and our annual Summertown Interiors Quiz Night has officially become one of the highlights on our calendar. What started as a simple idea to get our industry partners together outside the usual project meetings has grown into something we genuinely look forward to every year. And this year was no exception.
On 5 February 2026, we welcomed friends, clients and collaborators to Reform Social & Grill in Dubai for an evening of trivia, laughs and a healthy dose of competitive spirit. The room was full. The energy was brilliant. And yes, the quiz questions were tougher than ever.
Why the Summertown Interiors Quiz Night?
If you work in interior fit-out in Dubai, you know how project-driven this industry is. Timelines are tight. Handovers keep everyone focused. It is easy to spend months working alongside talented people without ever having a proper conversation that does not revolve around a programme or a snag list.
That is exactly why we started Quiz Night. Not as a marketing exercise or a networking event in the traditional sense, but as a genuine opportunity to connect with the people who make our projects possible. Over 25 years of delivering sustainable interior fit-out works across the UAE has taught us something fairly simple: Good relationships lead to good work. Every time.
Who Joined Us
We were thrilled to welcome representatives from some of the most respected names in the UAE’s commercial real estate, design and project management sectors. Teams from CBRE, Savills, CSQ, Turner & Townsend, PMK, Gleeds, Gensler, Vedra, Broadway, Seven, Carter Hones, OIR, ROAR, JLL, Colain, Unique, AAID, DWP and Bluehaus Group all made the trip out. It says a lot about the strength of this community that so many firms continue to show up year after year.
For us at Summertown Interiors, that kind of loyalty matters. These are the consultants, designers and project managers we collaborate with for fit-out projects across Dubai and the wider UAE. Seeing them relax, compete and have fun together reminded us why this industry is special.
The Quiz Itself
Let’s talk about the important stuff. The quiz rounds covered everything from general knowledge to industry-specific questions and a few curveball rounds that caught more than a few teams off guard. The competition was close throughout, and the debates at certain tables were… spirited, to say the least.
After a tightly contested evening, the final results came in:
First Place: Roar
Second Place: Gleeds & Gensler
Third Place: Savills
Huge congratulations to the winning teams. And honestly, well played to everyone who took part. The level this year was impressive across the board.
More Than a Quiz
It would be easy to describe this as just a fun night out. And it was. But there is something deeper going on when you bring together professionals from across the commercial fit-out and interior design sector and give them space to simply enjoy each other’s company.
The UAE’s built environment is evolving rapidly. Sustainability, wellness, efficiency: These are the themes shaping how we all work. Whether we are delivering a LEED-certified workspace, advising on sustainable fit-out solutions in Dubai, or collaborating on a complex commercial fit-out, the quality of our professional relationships directly affects the quality of what we build. We have always believed that, and evenings like this only reinforce it.
