Last night, we had every reason to celebrate.
The ceremony took place on 1 September 2026 at Sofitel The Palm, Dubai.
Better still, this is our second win in the category. We took the same title in 2025, so this marks two years running. Naturally, the whole team feels incredibly proud.

What the Sustainability Innovation Awards recognise
Sustainability now shapes how the region grows. Governments and businesses alike are backing greener solutions, from renewable energy to smarter buildings.
Against that backdrop, the Sustainability Innovation Awards spotlight the firms turning ambition into measurable impact.
BNC Publishing runs the programme each year. It honours the projects, initiatives and people setting new environmental standards.
Our category, Sustainable Fit-Out Firm of the Year, rewards a firm that consistently delivers sustainable interiors and sources responsibly. In other words, it looks for a pattern, not a one-off. So winning it twice means a great deal to us.
A win built on real projects
Awards are only as strong as the work behind them. This year, our entry leaned on projects we are genuinely proud of. Take Schneider Electric’s The Nest, for example. We delivered it as a fully integrated fit-out. It then earned LEED Platinum certification and a WELL Equity Rating. It also won Sustainable Project of the Year at the Design Middle East Awards 2025. Clearly, the recognition has kept coming.
Our work for Abu Dhabi Investment Council tells a similar story. The project spans 2,748 square metres across five floors. It brings together executive, business, training, fitness and recreational spaces. Moreover, it is currently targeting LEED Gold certification. A project of that scale demands careful material choices, close coordination and constant attention to detail.
Proof points, not just promises
We prefer to let results speak. According to our own 2025 figures, we diverted 70% of construction waste from landfill. In the same year, 31 of our projects achieved LEED certification. These outcomes rarely happen by chance. Instead, they come from decisions made early, long before anyone reaches site.
What this means for our clients
A trophy is lovely. Still, the real value sits with the businesses we work for. A sustainable office fit-out is not only kinder to the planet. It also supports wellbeing, trims running costs and strengthens your ESG story. So every award we win reflects outcomes our clients feel every day, in spaces that work harder for their people.
Two years running, and still building

Consistency is the hardest thing to achieve in our industry.
After all, anyone can deliver one strong project.
Repeating it, year after year, takes a system.
That is why two trophies mean so much to us. The first, from 2025, set the standard. The second, from 2026, proves we held it. In fact, the Sustainability Innovation Awards reward exactly that kind of consistency.
Together, the two trophies tell a simple story: We do what we say, and we keep getting better at it.
Nearly three decades of sustainable fit-out
Summertown has championed responsible fit-out since 1997. In fact, we were the first contractor in the UAE to occupy a LEED Gold-certified interior. Nearly three decades later, sustainability still sits at the heart of what we do.
Today, our JOURNEY2030 strategy guides that work. Meanwhile, LEED and WELL-accredited specialists hold our standards high, from first sketch to final handover. We also share what we learn, so our LEED ROI Calculator helps clients see the real value of a sustainable workplace before they commit.
Thank you to our people and partners
Recognition like this belongs to the whole team. It reflects the designers, project managers and site crews who deliver, day after day. So to everyone at Summertown, and to every client and partner who trusts us: Thank you.
Winning twice is a genuine milestone.
Even so, we already have our sights on what comes next.
If you are planning a sustainable workplace, we would love to help you build it.
